Building Bridges Over Peaks and Valleys

I once heard someone say that life is peaks and valleys.

Side mountain peaks are those good days, the happy days! These include the mundane like having a good hair day, catching up with a friend over coffee, or dancing in your living room (just me?)
The highest mountain peaks hold unforgettable moments like our first kiss, graduating, getting that job you wanted, your wedding day or the birth of your child.

We've all experienced peaks days in our lives. 
Yet we've also felt the valley.

Bad moods, financial burdens, sick days... you name it. We know the valley well, because it reminds us how much we miss the mountain peak. Those days when we are feeling low, frustrated, discouraged, hurt or just unworthy... We recognize this valley because we know we want to be on the mountain peak.

How do we go from mountain peak to mountain peak and avoid staying stuck in the valley?


The bridge you build simply goes from one peak to the next, skipping the valley. It's a conscious decision on those bad days to say "hey... things aren't going my way, I feel down, but I'm going to choose gratitude and joy."

Choose to dwell on the things you are thankful for.
Choose peace and let things go instead of dwelling on negative thoughts.
Choose positivity and remove complaint from your vocabulary this day.
Choose to smile, even when you don't feel like it.

Easier said than done right?
That's why you have to build the bridge. Put it to work!
The more you do this, the more you will realize these valleys are temporary.


I'm not the best bridge builder... But practice makes perfect right?
